Welcome—request protection of a page, file, or template here. | ||
---|---|---|
Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection) After a page has been protected, it is listed in the page history and logs with a short rationale, and the article is listed on Special:ProtectedPages. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins should not revert to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.
Request protection of a page, or increasing the protection level
Request unprotection of a page, or reducing the protection level
Request a specific edit to a protected page
Please request an edit directly on the protected page's talk page before posting here |

Reason: This article is frequently targeted by vandalism and disruptive edits, which hinder the accuracy and reliability of the content. Protection is requested to maintain the integrity of the page and ensure it reflects accurate, verifiable information. 45.81.144.15 (talk) 14:53, 28 March 2025 (UTC)

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Bbb23 (talk) 16:23, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – It could be my paranoia kicking in again, but the disruptive editing on this talk page is really starting to annoy me. If the talk page gets protected, should its associated article be protected, too? HTTP-related articles (and/or their talk pages) seem to be very prone to vandalism... - OpalYosutebito 『talk』 『articles I want to eat』 20:17, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Nobody's ever going to indefinitely protect an article talk page, no matter how highly visible. Just revert the single incident (18 hours ago) in the last seven days and move on. Come back when the talk page is under active attack, which it is not at this time. Temporary extended confirmed protection: Persistent vandalism – Persistent addition of unreliable box office figures by Autoconfirmed users coming out of hibernation after years just to edit the BO figure. A temporary ECP would be better. — Benison (Beni · talk) 03:03, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

Reason: previous edits was based on assumptions. Revival108 (talk) 08:32, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
Reason: The page has been subjected to vandalism from a single user ("BasselHarfouce") who is on a conquest of spreading anti-iranian sentiment. He added a section which suggests that Iran was involved even though this completely contradicts what we know about the origin of the Ammoniumnitrate. His sources do not even support his conclusions and some are partisan. Further details can be found in the talk page. Some of his "additions" to the article have already been removed. I do not know who to approach to get the rest removed and the article protected from him. 2A02:8071:5160:F8A0:B427:FF5B:5F56:25A (talk) 10:13, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Undergoing constant vandalism due to a current death hoax on Twitter. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 15:32, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
- Death hoaxing has been a persistent problem on this article over the last few years, even making news coverage [1], and the article has had to have been repeatedly semi-protected over that time [2]. Given the serious BLP implications of death hoaxing, I would recommend that the protection in this case be permanent. Hemiauchenia (talk) 15:55, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

Reason: Continuous harrassment by User ID - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:MrOllie - who is reverting old edits back to the page despited updated edits which have the valid footnotes quoted from the Press and National Media. Very vengeful and ill informed. Users like MrOllie are a nuisance to a goodwill of Wikipedia. They also threaten other users of "blocking" without having nay adminitrative rights. Pls take a look at the discussion on this page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jashnetalat#c-MrOllie-20250329162300-Jashnetalat-20250329161600

Declined – I am warning the filer, User:Jashnetalat for edit warring. Another user considers your changes to be promotional. Please open a discussion on the article talk page to get consensus for your changes. EdJohnston (talk) 17:06, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

Indefinite pending changes: Persistent disruptive editing – I have been watching this article a lot lately. IPs keep inappropriately adding official numbers to columns dedicated to NGO's. The Knowledge Pirate (talk) 17:49, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
Current requests for reduction in protection level
Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin on their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
- To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
- Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
- Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
- If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page, please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected, please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Current requests for edits to a protected page
Please request an edit directly on the protected page's talk page before posting here
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
- Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among
{{Edit protected}}
,{{Edit template-protected}}
,{{Edit extended-protected}}
, or{{Edit semi-protected}}
to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed. - Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}
template should be used. - Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
- If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
- This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.
Regarding the box in the header, I believe the "captured or abducted" count should reflect those who have been released or have died in captivity. Although 251 individuals were captured or abducted, some have since been released or killed. The Wikipedia page should present this information as follows:
- Captured or Abducted: 251
- Released: [number]
- Killed in Captivity: [number]

"Israeli soldiers have summarily executed Palestinian civilians, often in front of their families." This is one citation that leads to another citation (why not list the original reference?) where it describes a single alleged incident that has been disputed. The original citation is careful to use the term 'alleged' and 'still under verification' and yet the wiki page does not say 'alleged' or 'accused of' - and goes on to add the word 'often', even though only one alleged incident is referenced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.230.248.39 (talk) 02:19, 28 March 2025 (UTC)

Within the Politics section, change the paragraph "By early 2024, Musk had become a vocal and financial supporter of Donald Trump. In July 2024, after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, Musk endorsed him for president" to say "In July 2024, minutes after the attempted assassination..."
Musk endorsed him within minutes after the assassination attempt and is notable. AnotherWeatherEditor (talk) 15:46, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
